All residential and commercial buildings constructed must have a properly graded lot with surface drainage directed away from
the buildings. With municipal bylaws in place, the rough grade process is the responsibility of the home builder or commercial
contractor. 
Our goal over the past ten years has been to build an exceptionally skilled and versatile lot grading team with passion and drive to
provide the best service possible to our clients. Our skilled team will provide the grade stakes per the clients’ request, and then we
will complete the rough grade. We use the latest modern robotic total station technology.  Compared to conventional transits, we
are able to achieve tolerances within 1 mm of design and with the software paired with the hardware; there is significantly less
chance of error.  Generally, the pre-grade will be completed before the rough grade and grade stakes. Once the lot has been graded
to stake, we will then inspect our own grades and request an As Built Certificate and coordinate inspection/approval by the
appropriate municipal body. Any corrections to the grade will be completed upon our inspection or receipt of a failed certificate. If
the rough grade has passed, we will then provide our client with the rough grade certificate. Our office and site personnel will
control this process from beginning to end, maximizing efficiency, which in turn streamlines and expedites the process.
